Warband Raids

Warband Raids

Warband raids are random events where where enemies within Ashenfall attack the player(s) in their base, or outside of their base. These events happen randomly, have two different notification when your base is being attacked or if you're being hunted.

Base Raids

Base raids are raids that happen when players are near their base. These raids will trigger a battle horn being sounded, and a notification will pop up saying "A warband is attacking your base." Two waves of enemies will arrive to attack you directly, and will attempt to destroy your buildings if you are hiding within a wall or house.

Depending on where players have a bed set, warband raids can either increase in scale or not happen.

So far, there are no reported warband raids in Dowdun Reach and Umbral Sands

Hunted Events

Hunted events begin with players receiving a horn sound and the message banner, "You are being hunted!" Alternatively, players who wake up in either Brynmoor or Ghornfell will receive the message banner, "Sorry, you're being hunted."

In Umbral Sands, Fuzan will be the one to hunt the players down with one[sic] red dragon.

Strategy

Players can fight against the raiding or hunting parties, or they can choose to run away. Running away will stop both events from attacking, forcing them to run the opposite direction and disappear. Alternatively, players can build defences to protect their base if they choose to fight. To safely combat the parties, players can either jump and/or get behind cover within the objects in-game. Players should use Windstep (if available) to jump to a high area with cover and concealment and use Ranged/Magic attacks. Note that player-built objects can be destroyed by parties in this event.

If players do not have suitable armour or weapons, players can flee from the events until receiving the confirmation message saying the parties have stopped hunting them.
