Cauterised undead steak is a power level 4 food item that provides 2 health and 25 sustenance as well as the perks Ravenous and Steadfast Stomach, which drains hydration and sustenance 20% faster and grants resistance to Wither effects for 150 seconds. It can be cooked from undead meat at either a campfire or a grill, and is used in dubious meat pie.

Despite the appearance of their former owners and the deeply unpleasant smell emanating from it, undead meat is not rotten. It, like the nature of its former owners, is preserved in a state between life and death, as if it's on the cusp of souring, but never quite getting there.
This unique nature gives it some very interesting properties, but sadly, flavour isn't one of them.
