Leggings Of Lightness

The leggings of lightness are a piece of power level 1 leg armour, which can be crafted using a crafting table. The recipe is learned by consuming the suspiciously light tattered boots vestige, found in a chest atop the windmill in Temple Woods. Their special effect increases the player's maximum carry weight by 50 and reduces the amount of fall damage the player takes.

A cousin to the better-known Boots of Lightness, popular on the Gielinor mainland. These leggings were created by Shana, a Bramblemead villager who hated the cold. While the boots were functional, and useful, making it easier to carry things round the village, she always felt the winds chill no matter what she wore.

Her solution was simple. Since enchantment created an excess of energy, at least when she did it – she was never going to become a wizard – she laced the leggings with the lightness charm.

The effect was twofold. Firstly, she could carry things around the town as easily as if she were wearing the boots. Secondly, the enchantment kept her legs nice and warm.

Fortunately, the designs for these leggings improved over the years, removing the overheating problem that Shana had been so fond of. Although she was doubtless less fond of it after her house caught fire.
