Wolfbane Dagger

The wolfbane dagger is a power level 5 one-handed melee weapon that can be crafted at a blacksmith's bench. The recipe is acquired from a dragonkin effigy found in Vekchenven Kara, the dragonkin vault in central Fellhollow. It can be ascended at the mystic forge using ascension cores.

Its special effect is 25% increased damage against wolves, which includes wolves, dire wolves, dragonwolves, ghost wolves and hellhounds.

Although keris has 2 higher max hit at power level 7, this dagger when ascended has the same stats as the dragonbone dagger, and so when not attacking either kalphites or wolves, the dragonbone dagger is the ideal one-handed stabbing weapon to ascend.

Vannaka knows this dagger only too well, for it was used against him every time he tried to prove his mettle against the other slayer masters. Although he would never willingly transform to prove his might, the unsettling sight of the dagger broke his morale enough to make him falter, and that was enough of an edge for his defeat.
