The subjugation staff is a power level 6 staff that can be crafted with a mystic forge. The recipe is unlocked after studying the demonic metal rod vestige, which can be found in chests throughout Dowdun Reach or purchased from Postie Pete's Evil Emporium for 300 infernal fragments. It can be ascended at the mystic forge using ascension cores.

Its special effect is 15% increased damage against lesser demons and abyssal demons. Despite also being considered demons, hellrats and hellhounds do not take extra damage from this weapon.

This weapon has the same rune damage multiplier as the draconic staff when ascended to the same power level, but it has much higher durability. That being said, with how few enemies there are that take extra damage from this weapon, the same thing applies here as for the draconic staff that the staff of light and necromancer's staff are better choices in most other situations as they will have 0.4 - 0.5 higher rune damage multipliers at each power level, and the increased chance to crit or higher durability aren't enough to offset that.

Anyone who worked with Alric knew about the Subjugation Staff. It would thud, thud, thud on the cobblestone floor as he approached. It was a welcome warning that Alric was arriving, but it came with notes of dread.

The power of the Subjugation Staff came from what was rolled up and inserted into its middle. It was a demon pact, but one that had been defaulted on. A demon, not a human, had failed to keep their side of the bargain, and that gave the contract a radiating power. Alric captured that power within the staff. While he held it, it was as if all of demonkind owed him something.
