Collecting the ingredients

To start the quest, speak to Slopfinger, located in the south-west area of the Fractured Plains, near the border of the Stormtouched Highlands. Speaking to him, you learn that he is trying to make a cake, but his assistant, Manktongue, is ignoring him, so he asks you to assist him in showing that he can prove his worth as a chef. He'll ask you to collect 4 eggs, 6 wheats and 1 bucket of milk. The bucket of milk is the easiest ingredient; there is a cow just outside of the building within a pen. Interact with it and go through all the options, BUT do not milk it, as it will willingly give you milk.

For the rest of the ingredients, it is advised that you build a lodestone at the quest area so you can head over to Bramblemead Valley or Temple Woods to collect some eggs from chickens. Alternatively, you can chop down trees and get a bird nest. Killing goblins is required to collect wheat seeds, or looking through chests.

Finishing up

Once you collect all the ingredients, return to Slopfinger, and he will have you bake the cake for him. After baking the cake, speak to him again, and he will ask that you speak to Manktongue and show him the cake. Speak to Slopfinger one last time to complete the quest.

  • This quest is named after one of the first few quests in RuneScape's history, Cook's Assistant. Just like in RuneScape, Old School RuneScape and RuneScape Classic versions, you are asked to collect eggs, wheat, and a bucket of milk. Unlike the three games, this quest requires more than 1 egg and wheat.
