Attack/Strategies

This page is a strategy guide on how to receive the most experience whilst training the Attack skill.

Strategy

Players can start receiving a power level 2 sword by climbing the top of the Temple of Saradomin and finding the vestige to create the wooden training sword. From here, players can deal more damage than stone-based weapons. After training and receiving more resources, it is important to make food, drinks, potions (weak healing potions, Attack potions, and weak antipoison potions), and wardstones to get bronze equipment to defend and deal more damage.

After receiving bronze equipment, aim for iron equipment by making wild pies that will absorb the thunder’s shock, meat pizzas to reduce the Bleed debuff, and more antipoison potions to defend against garou druids.

  • Building lodestones are important to exit out of combat in case the monster(s) is/are too overpowering, or if the player has recently died and would like to speed the Attack experience rates.
  • Building 45° stairs may be helpful to get on top of structures and heal.
  • Windstep - Place at the bottom of the spell hotwheel, as the default selection will be the bottom-most spell.
  • Fire Spirit - Place at either side of the Windstep spell, providing light in the darkness
  • Confuse - Place next to the Fire Spirit spell, making monsters attack each other
  • Tempest Shield - Place next to the Confuse spell, allowing an external shield around the player
  • Enchant Weapon: Fire or Air - Place next to the Tempest Shield spell, allowing a damage/experience bonus to a held melee weapon
  • Rocksplosion - Place next to any spell, allowing ore nodes to be harvested faster
