Shadow Sword

The shadow sword is a power level 5 greatsword created using a blacksmith's bench. The recipe is learned by consuming the shard of smoky glass, dropped from a zogre. It is required to complete Doric's Quest to receive the zombie axe. It can be ascended at the mystic forge using ascension cores.

Its special effect is +25% damage against spectral enemies such as lost souls, ghost wolves, and soulstone sentinels.

It has almost exactly the same stats as other greatswords with Titan's Wrath as the one exception, and although it can be valuable in Fellhollow, extra damage to spectral enemies is useless outside of that region. Still, the zombie axe is the best one-handed crush weapon available to ascend, especially as it also deals slash damage, so getting this weapon just for that is worthwhile.

It might be better to refer to this sword as a smoke sword, given its wispy nature, but there is no denying that this is an ephemeral blade aligned with the world of the dead.

It feels cold to the touch and sometimes, when you least expect it, you are almost certain you can hear whispering coming from the blade.
