Sadia Vulketra
Sadia Vulketra
Садия Вулкетра was a member of the Children of Shadows, a Zamorakian order that settled in Fellhollow. She is credited as the first person to forge steel armour in Fellhollow, working alongside an Amalgamated blacksmith named Vesk, one of her many lovers.
History
Despite the four major faiths on Ashenfall coexisting peacefully, Sadia grew uneasy about the Children of Shadows' ability to defend themselves. She believed, based on her reading of history, that the Saradominists would one day move against Zamorak's followers. Not all members of the order shared her concern; many attended inter-faith meetings and mixed freely with followers of other religions.
She and Vesk forged the first steel helm in Fellhollow in response to this fear. The design featured great curling horns, stained black by the forge's flames. The style proved unpopular with the broader village, who developed their own simpler steel helms bearing a feathered plume.
Their recipes eventually spread beyond the two of them. Cheaper and more efficient smiths set aside Sadia and Vesk's elaborate designs in favour of plain, practical armour that anyone could wear regardless of faith. With Fellhollow's abundance of resources, steel armour became common throughout the village, and many families took the opportunity to add personal crests and decorative trim.
