The KotHaar do not die as we do. There is no afterlife for them, just silence. They are reduced to fragments of obsidian, crushed down and down with the weight of their souls. Once returned to the Elder Kiln the KotHaar will live again, it just may take some time. Fortunately, time is irrelevant to the KotHaar and they are content to simply wait out the aeons until their time comes again. So, in a way, you do them a favour by wearing this obsidian armour, as it gives them a chance to see the world as they wait.

This helmet is durable, powerful and undeniably shiny. The obsidian glass reflects light in strange ways, glinting in a way that seems strange for such a dark material.

Moon Garou that prevail against the KotHaar do not wear the obsidian as armour, despite the obvious advantages. They worry that should they don the black glass, then they will find themselves possessed by whatever fire spirit animates the KotHaar, and the Moon Garou legends of fiery beings are not their happiest stories.
