Focused Fishing potion grants the perk Focused Fishing II, which provides a 5-minute (300-second) +30% XP boost for the Fishing skill. It is made with irit, grilled trout, and glass vessel in a brewing cauldron.

You often hear stories about great anglers who have that one marine animal they've never caught. A whale perhaps, or a darting salmon. Well, I had a friend once who had an enmity with a prawn. It was a big prawn, mind you, and every time he caught it, it would leap out of his net and get away. He accused that pawn of gloating: he believed it waited until he hauled in the net before scarpering.

It got to the point where my friend traded his week's wages for a fishing potion. Not a lesser or weak fishing potion: a third-tier, freshly made fishing potion. He was going to catch that prawn, even if he had to starve for days.

But the potion didn't make him any better at catching the prawn. Instead, he became attuned to the prawn. He was so aware that he knew what it was thinking. Now, every time the prawn escapes, my friend can hear it cackle and let out a little "doofus!".
