Active vault shards are located within the Dragonkin vault Kalistrakthen Kara. It deals 2 damage to health, however it is possible to get stuck between a wall and an active shard, potentially making them fatal. Despite their electrical nature, they do not impart the shocked debuff.

Mitigation

They can be deactivated temporarily by blasting them with mage (even non-combat spells like Axtral Projection will work) or Ranged attacks, or they can be simply dodged through.
