Unusual trout is a raw ingredient that can be captured by grabbing it from the pool of fish for OffalFoot in The Lake far beneath The Courtyard. The area in which to grab it is accessed through the catacombs beneath the The Cathedral.

The trout is unusual in a few different ways. It's still breathing even out of water, which you could probably classify as more than just "unusual". But we like to stay away from hyperbole, so we'll stick with "unusual" for now.
It also seems to be eyeballing you. Little sideways glances that could be interpreted as judgements. And when you do fail at something - burn a fish, perhaps - it tuts, loudly, like a librarian.
