Животный магнетизм is a secondary quest in the Fractured Plains. To start the quest, players must speak to Manktongue, who is located in a ruined house in the south western part of the Fractured Plains.

Overview

Gathering the ingredients

To start the quest, speak to Manktongue, who will inform you that he found a message in a bottle in the water. Reading it will reveal that it is a message from Ava with the ingredients on how to craft her accumulator. Knowing the needed ingredients, you are asked to retrieve each of the following: 1 undead chicken, a bundle of undead twigs, and a magnet, which requires 1 iron bar and 5 law runes. If you already have the iron and law runes, take them to Pulpknuckle. He is located in the same cabin upstairs, who will create the magnet for you.

The undead chicken is located within the Stormtouched Highlands, directly north of the quest area. Enter the region, go up the hill, then search for an iron ore node on the wall. The chicken will be there (map on the bottom right). The Twig is located south of the entrance to Bloodblight Swamp (map on the bottom right). There is an undead tree; to get the twig, you will need to interact with it. Warning: An abyssal demon is known to roam around this area. Be cautious.

Finishing up

After you gather all the ingredients, return to Manktongue, who will create the device for you.

Trivia

• This quest is named after the quest of the same name. Just like the quest has almost the same plot, however Ava is not present. It is explained that she had tossed a message in a bottle out to sea, containing the blueprint of the Ava's accumulator.
