Garou druids borrow from nature when crafting staves or weaving robes. In Ghornfell they took antlers from deer, and leather from their hunted prey. In the Umbral Sands they were forced to adopt a… sparklier approach.

The kalphite did not offer diplomatic solutions to the garou’s assaults, but they offered violent ones. On one night, the garou saw an approaching sandstorm, but were not prepared for the truth. As the storm approached, the buzzing sound grew to a crescendo as the great kalphite swarm blotted out the stars and moon, descending upon the village.

There were none left alive once all had passed.

You would think this would have been the end of it, that death and pain would be deterrent enough. Yet, for the years, decades and centuries that followed, the desire for colourful material was too strong a lure.

Countless lives have been lost to kalphite retribution. But what is fashion without a little sacrifice?
