Линза

The Линза is a device crafted by the Старшие боги. It is used to ensure that the sun of Gielinor gives off an appropriate amount of heat to the world. Before they departed to slumber, they had tasked the КотХаар with safekeeping the device within Сумрачные пески of Эшенфолл. The KotHaar-Xil caste kept watch at the entrances to their tunnels, guarding the device against those who seek to harm or steal it.

The device rested undisturbed until Фузан discovered the KotHaar and the Lens. He bound the KotHaar to his will and had them carry the Lens from its resting place to his volcano, where its purpose was turned against itself. With the Lens misaligned, the sun over the region burned far brighter than it had before. With Fuzan's corruption of the sun, Umbral Sands would become harsher, almost uninhabitable to the Лунный Гару that once struggled to live there. The corrupted ray of the sun reshaped the region's plant life, producing the ruby vine as an offshoot of the wild jade vine and transforming it into a more sandy region. Although Fuzan controls the KotHaar, they retain their original charge, and their attention still turns toward the Lens held in his tower.

It is in the Шестая эпоха that a group of adventurers arrive in the region and put an end to Fuzan's rule.

Интересные факты

It was confirmed by Мод Рэйвен that the lens is not an Elder Artefact. It was revealed that the idea was to make linked The Mirror, but it was scrapped due to big lore connotations.
